How do I calculate hours worked with a lunch break?

Enter the start time, end time and break minutes for each day. The tool subtracts the break from the time between start and end. For 9:00 to 17:30 with a 30-minute break, you get 8 hours, and the weekly total updates as you edit.

How do I convert hours and minutes to decimal hours?

Divide the minutes by 60 and add them to the hours. 7 hours 45 minutes is 7.75 hours, because 45 divided by 60 is 0.75. The tool shows both the hours-and-minutes total and the decimal hours figure, which payroll systems and timesheets usually need.

Does it handle overnight shifts?

Yes. If the end time is earlier than the start time, it assumes the shift crossed midnight and adds 24 hours. So 22:00 to 06:00 is counted as 8 hours before any break is subtracted. It treats each row as a single shift of less than 24 hours.

How is overtime pay calculated?

Enter an hourly rate and an overtime threshold, which defaults to 40 hours. Hours above the threshold in your total are paid at 1.5 times the rate. For example, at rate 200 with 45 hours, pay is 40 times 200 plus 5 times 300, which is 9,500 in rupees.

Can I add more days or change the day labels?

Yes. The table starts with Monday to Friday, and you can rename any day label, remove a row with the trash icon, or press Add day to include weekends or extra shifts. Add or remove rows to match your pay period.

Are my timesheet entries saved?

No. The entries live only on the page and are cleared when you reload or close it, and nothing is stored or uploaded. Write down the totals before you leave. The pay figure is an estimate that assumes 1.5 times overtime and ignores taxes and deductions.
