Frequently asked questions

How do I create a checklist online?

Type an item and press Enter, or use Bulk Add to paste several items with one per line. Tick items off as you finish them, and watch the progress percentage update. It works for packing lists, shopping lists, onboarding steps or any routine.

How do I reuse a checklist?

Press Reset Checks to untick every item while keeping the list itself. That lets you run the same routine again, such as a weekly review or a travel packing list. Clear All deletes all items after a confirmation.

Is my checklist saved, and where?

Yes, automatically, in your browser local storage on this device. It is still there when you return, but it does not sync across devices and can disappear if you clear site data or use a private window. There is no account.

Can I share a checklist with someone else?

Not through a link. The checklist lives only in your own browser, and the tool has no sharing feature or accounts. To share it, copy the item text and send it in a message or document, or paste it into their Bulk Add box.

How do I add many checklist items at once?

Open the Bulk Add box, paste your items with one per line, and press the add button. Each non-empty line becomes an unchecked item, and blank lines are skipped. This is quick when moving a list from notes or a spreadsheet column.

What is the difference between a checklist and a to-do list?

A checklist is a reusable set of steps you run through repeatedly, such as a launch or packing list, so it is reset and reused. A to-do list holds one-off tasks with priorities and due dates that you finish and remove.

Is my data shared when using the Checklist?

No. Toolskyt operates under a zero-server policy. All calculations, data formatting, and file exports are executed locally on your machine.

Do I need to sign up or pay to use the Checklist?

No, this tool is 100% free. There are no limits, sign-ups, subscriptions, or hidden charges required.
